Environment Agency Harbour Master’s Notice – Update

River restrictions on the Thames

When: Sunday 9 June 2019, from 8am to 6pm.

Where: Sunbury reach – Desborough Channel.

What’s happening: Weybridge Ladies Amateur Rowing Club Regatta. The navigation will be on the old river channel at Shepperton. The Desborough channel will be closed to navigation from 8am to 6pm.

When: Saturday 15, Sunday 16 and Sunday 23 June 2019, from 8am to 4pm.

Where: Sunbury reach – Thames Valley Skiff Club to Walton Marina.

What’s happening: Sunbury and Walton Sea Cadets Regatta. The navigation channel will be on the Surrey, left hand side of the river.

 

When: From 6am Monday 17 June to 6am Wednesday 3 July 2019.

Where: Henley reach.

What’s happening: Henley Royal Regatta practice and Henley Women’s Regatta. During these dates no boats, other than rowing racing boats, can navigate within the regatta course or crew warm up area. The navigation channel for river traffic will be on the Buckinghamshire, Fawley Court side of the river.

When: From 6am Wednesday 3 July to half an hour after prize giving on Sunday 7 July 2019.

Where: Henley reach.

What’s happening: Henley Royal Regatta. Those in charge of boats must conform with notice directions and with any special directions which, at the discretion of the Harbour Master, may be required in particular circumstances during these dates.

When: Monday 8 July to Sunday 14 July 2019.

Where: Henley reach.

What’s happening: Henley Music Festival. At no time may any boats be moored within the regatta course, to the bank in the area known as The Narrows, or to the adjacent regatta course booms.

When: Monday 15 July to Friday 26 July 2019.

Where: Henley reach.

What’s happening: Deconstruction of the Henley Royal Regatta course. While the Henley Royal Regatta course is being dismantled, all boats travelling downstream must navigate within the regatta course from finish to the barrier. All boats travelling upstream must navigate on the Bucks bank/Fawley side of the regatta course.

When: Friday 2 August 2019, from 9am to 4:30pm.

Where: Sunbury reach – The Desborough Channel and the Surrey side of D’Oyly Carte Island.

What’s happening: Weybridge Community Regatta. The navigation will be on the old river channel at Shepperton. Racing boats will be using the Desborough Channel and the Surrey side of D’Oyly Carte Island which will be closed to navigation between 8am and 5pm.
