My name is Tracey. I am the Founder-Director of the Accessible Waterways Association (AWA). In partnership with the Canal and River Trust (CRT) we are putting on the Toward Accessible Waterways Day in central Birmingham on Saturday 2 December 2023. This is in conjunction with the International Day of People with Disabilities (3 Dec).
The day will be a gathering of people who want to access the Inland Waterways in any way, regardless of their abilities or disabilities. This will include boating, angling, walking/wheeling, kayaking, or simply visiting to watch.
We will have a variety of organisations represented by way of exhibition stands. Some will have the opportunity to give a short presentation. There will be plenty of networking and chatting, plus an invitation for all to participate in a ‘roving mic’ Q&A at the end of the day.
We would be delighted to have the RBOA represented at this event.
If this is of interest, then please follow this link to the application form:

Equally, it would be great if you would circulate the AWA website to your members as some may be interested in joining us.
